You might notice that when you open folders there is a slight delay before the opening. This is because your computers automatically searches for network folders and printers.

Here are the steps to disable this:

1. Open "My Computer".
2. Click "Tools" to pull down the Tools menu.
3. Click "Folder Options".
4. Click the "View" tab.
5. Uncheck the box next to where it says "Automatically search for network folders and printers".
6. Click "Apply" and OK.
